about us

We are artists, chefs, caterers, matriarchs, activists, knowledge keepers, storytellers, teachers, and we are the definition of strength.

We are determined to stand together to support each other in friendship, love and freedom. Our cultures give us strength and together our voices are strong. Our connection is strengthened by our strong bonds and loyalty to each other, and we are committed to fairness and equality.
As a circle we value the confidence we have when we come together to share, celebrate, and support each other. Together we give each other strength, build up each other’s faith in our abilities, and encourage each other to speak and share. We offer friendship, support, empathy, gratitude and hold one another’s joy and grief.

Our Mission

To work together interdependently to raise awareness about issues related to poverty so that those who are experiencing it can be empowered through knowledge sharing, collective research, and community connections.

Our Values

To create a grassroots community anti-poverty network so that those experiencing poverty can thrive and collectively influence decision makers to make more equitable policies.
